colin rivas music: KING OF DREAMS-REY DE LOS SUENOS

KING OF DREAMS focuses on the death of DEMOCRACY AND SURVEILLANCE OF SOCIETY. COLIN RIVAS has said in interviews that he developed a writer's block shortly after his move to the UK. This episode lasted several months and he was unable to write any songs at all. The only way he was able to overcome this affliction was to deal with where he grew up in Galicia through his music. The first song written for KING OF DREAMS was "Ai Dalai?" and Colin has stated the rest of the album flowed quite easily after that first hurdle was overcome. Most of the songs have motifs related to Dictatorship, Against Socialism adn facism and how wisdom overcome imprisonment. There are also references to Ireland, England basque Country and Spain and a song in Spanish Rei Del Sueno, but over all Galicia he part of Spain where Colin spent his childhood.
